THE ROYAL HOTEL has existed as a hotel/ coaching inn in the centre of Comrie for the best part of 200 years...Queen Victoria was even a guest.
In 1996, it underwent major renovation and restoration. The brief was to create an intimate, comfortable, small Scottish hotel.
The project involved major internal reconfiguration. We relocated the dining room, bars and kitchen and opened up to the rear of the building to form a better connection with the garden. This also brought light through the hotel......creating an elegant, comfortable series of spaces with a clear and efficient flow. The interior was designed in-house and was an intrinsic part of the project from the outset.
The Royal Hotel has now re-established itself as an important hub and meeting place in the centre of the village as well as being a popular destination for visitors.
