Our client's brief was to create an attractive, low density rural settlement on a 60- acre site just west of Perth which had previously been a WW2 airfield. We worked up a master plan with Stephens, leading to a number of house-type designs. Houses are grouped in small clusters off a main access and bounded by open paddocks and trees, thousands of which were planted to give privacy and protection. The mix of designs and the use of natural traditional materials - stone, timber cladding and slate roofing - gives variety within a common theme....cont./
